He did what he could, but knew he was powerless to stop the council while they were so set against Helene. He looked Helene in the eye when he delivered the council's decision: "The wisdom of the Jedi council is to deny your request to participate in the trials, and to order Master Jedi Lucilius the Hut to end your training."
A coldness spread throughout her body as Helene stared at the council members. She would not be a Jedi. Not yet.
Her dream was to be a Jedi. Master Luke made it clear from the beginning of the new order that all people shall have the opportunity to become Jedi. Even her own Master Lucilius the Hut became the first Hut to be a Jedi. She felt so proud to be Lucilius's first apprentice, and never once thought her grandfather, a man she never knew, could affect her chances. Her destiny, perhaps, lay along a different path.
"Thank you," she said, bowed, and left the chamber. She did not feel any anger. Her Jedi Master always taught her to control her feelings in such circumstances. She did, however, feel pity for the council members and hope that one day, they would change their minds.
She boarded her ship and ascended into space, the bright lights of Corescent disappearing behind her. Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
