She heard the sound of his lightsaber igniting and felt its heat near her throat. Helene stood still and waiting for her chance.

"What do you want with me?" she said.

"I heard what happened at the council. I can help you."

"You killed my master! How is that helping me?"

There was a pause. "I didn't kill your master," the voice behind her said.

"Liar!"

"Your friend Juno Serat killed Master Jedi Lucilius."

Helene was stunned. She now did not know who to believe, or who her real enemy was.
