It’s claw raised, it came down at her. Using her Jedi reflexes, she dodged the swipe and drew her light saber. The cool blue blade ignited and with one quick slash, the Wampa’s arm was sliced off. It howled in pain. Helene repositioned her light saber and finished the creature off, stabbing it through the chest. The Wampa fell to the ground and remained motionless. She waited of the others, but they were lying on the ground. The Wampa she killed had killed the other two. As she inspected the bodies, it appeared that they were fighting over a Tauntaun corpse. Helene disengaged her weapon and hung it back on her belt, knowing that there may be more of them living within what was left of Echo base.
She wandered the corridors, seeing if there was anything worth salvaging. This was, after all, going to be “home” for a while and she needed to use whatever she could find. She couldn’t go back to the Jedi Order yet. All she had found was an abandoned coat from a Rebel soldier and some useless blasters and droid parts.
She found a living quarters which was not damaged. She found an old protocol droid and, using it's power supply, brought power to the room, lighting it dimmly and turning on some of the heating system. Helene was always good at fixing things. Once the power was on, she managed to lock the door, so that no unwelcomed visitors would get in at night. Helen cleared some ice off of a bunk and laid down, trying to get some sleep.
