In the sprawling chaos that was Planet Express, Professor Farnsworth was engrossed in his latest creation: the Growth Elixir. With shaking hands, he carefully labeled the vial before transferring the contents into an empty soda can. "This should be safe here," he muttered, leaving the can on his cluttered workbench. "No one would dare touch the Professor's soda."
Satisfied with his precaution, the Professor waddled off to the bathroom, humming an old Earth tune. Meanwhile, Leela strode into the laboratory, her brow furrowed. She needed to discuss their next delivery mission. "Professor?" she called out, glancing around the chaotic room. "Are you here?"
There was no response. With a sigh, Leela noticed the soda can on the bench. Her throat felt parched, and the can looked invitingly cold. Without a second thought, she grabbed it and took a long swig, relishing the refreshing taste. "Ah, that hits the spot," she said, setting the empty can down.
As she left the lab, her mind was focused on the delivery details rather than the strange sensation beginning to spread through her body. Soon, she joined Fry and Bender in the spaceship, ready for their next interstellar delivery.
"Hey, Leela, you look... different," Fry remarked as they strapped into their seats.
"Different how?" Leela asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I don't know, just... different," Fry said, scratching his head.
Leela shrugged it off and started the ship. Their destination: the distant planet of Gigantonia, known for its colossal flora and fauna. As they broke through Earth's atmosphere, Leela couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. A warmth spread through her veins, and her uniform felt a bit snugger than usual.
Halfway through their journey, the feeling intensified. She felt a strange sense of euphoria mixed with discomfort. Her hands gripped the controls tighter, and she shifted in her seat. "Fry, can you take over for a minute?" she asked, her voice tinged with unease.
"Sure thing, Leela," Fry said, moving to the pilot's seat.
Leela stood up, needing to stretch. As she did, she felt a wave of vertigo and stumbled. Her body tingled, and she gasped as she realized she was growing. "What the hell?" she muttered, watching her limbs elongate and her perspective shift.
"Leela, are you okay?" Fry asked, looking concerned.
"I'm... not sure," she replied, her voice slightly deeper and more resonant. She clutched the back of her seat, feeling the fabric of her uniform strain against her expanding form. Her boots felt tight, and she quickly kicked them off, feeling her feet grow beyond their confines.
Bender, who had been lounging in the back, finally noticed the commotion. "Whoa, meatbag! You're getting huge!" he exclaimed, his eyes widening in surprise.
Leela's head almost brushed the ceiling of the cockpit. "This must be the Professor's doing," she said through gritted teeth, trying to keep her composure. "He must have left something dangerous out in the open."
Her growth slowed but didn't stop, and she found herself nearly double her original size. The sensation was both exhilarating and terrifying. "Fry, we need to get back to Earth and find out what happened."
Fry nodded, steering the ship back toward their home planet. "Hang in there, Leela. We'll figure this out."
As they hurtled through space, Leela couldn't help but marvel at her new size. The initial shock had worn off, and now she felt a strange sense of power. "I just hope the Professor has a way to reverse this," she thought, trying to ignore the nagging feeling that she might not want to go back to her old self.
