Poll Question:

As a child, I witnessed my father committing horrendous acts of animal cruelty. My father abused animals frequently with no repercussions. He used stray dogs as target practice, and he shot and killed the family dog.

I have written about these abusive acts; however, I am leery of displaying them publicly. I want my stories to raise awareness of animal abuse, not provide ideas that perpetuate animal cruelty.

What do you think? Does writing about acts of animal cruelty perpetuate the problem? Or heighten awareness? Or make no difference whatsoever?
