Your preference of male singing voice?
A lover of karaoke, I wonder what style of male singing voice audiences prefer to hear.

 Poll Question:

I once heard a fellow karaoke singer say that he had no talent; he just imitated other singers, singers with real talent. It was actually a pretty good description for my own strategy as well, although I had trouble admitting it for many years later.

But now that I have come to face that, and to be comfortable with a singing style I could (almost) call my own, I wonder which popular singing voice (or "style") others prefer to listen to. I think I should enjoy trying any style, provided it doesn't do any damage to my voice!

OK now. Here is the question: What style of male singing voice do you like best?

 Poll Options:

Raspy, like Bryan Adams, Joe Cocker, or Johnny Rzeznik (Goo Goo Dolls), in "Iris."
Able to hit the high notes with apparent ease, like Steve Perry (Journey), Prince, or David Gates (Bread), in "If."
BOTH raspy AND able to hit the high notes, like Steven Tyler (Aerosmith) or M. Slaughter, in "Fly to the Angels."
"So low," like Barry White, Johnny Cash, or Trace Adkins.
Somewhat hypnotic and breathy, like John Mayer, Chris Isaak, in "Wicked Game," or Dan Hill.
Youthful-sounding (but talented), like Backstreet Boys or NSYNC.
Playful, like Sir Mix-a-Lot, in "Baby Got Back," or Thomas Dolby, in "She Blinded Me With Science."
Can be both confident and cool, like Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Michael Buble, or Harry Connick, Jr.
Actually, a few or all of these styles appeal to me. Any well-conditioned, talented voice can be a pleasure to hear.
