Poll Question:

A superpower is a country, state or union who has become the leader or joint leader when it comes to the world in terms of economic, military and political influence, wealth and numbers. In a modern day setting there is only one superpower, America. It has be the sole superpower since the collapse of the Soviet Union from around 1989-1991. Whilst things like the Roman Empire or the Macedonian Empire encompassed a large part of the known world they can't be classed as Superpower's since the America's, Sub-Saharan Africa and Oceania remained untouched by them.

The first superpower was the British Empire. After the final defeat of Napoleon in 1815 it become the world's only superpower for an entire century until the first world war. By about 1930 America had achieved the rank of superpower but lacked the record of world intervention that the British had. However the second world war showcased it's massive strengths along with the USSR and these two grew in power, whilst the Empire dissolved, leading to the cold war.

America is almost 100% likely to remain a Superpower until at least 2025 (Unless a freak accident or event of course). However experts have analyzed at least 5 other potential superpowers. Whilst the disagree over who is more likely to become the next superpower I want to see who you would most LIKE to rank alongside America.
