The Villans we love to hate most!
What makes the best Fantasy ArchEnemy or Villian?

My focus is on a really major Fantasy Series Villan.

I want to know from writers what types of Villans are real winners. Not talking about whimpy ones, but the serious, true, realistic and powerful. I will use examples from popular stories so that your choices are clear.


 Poll Options:

    A force served by minions - ie, Sauron from Lord of the Rings
    Story included of a hero turned Villan - ie, DarthVader/Anakin
    Born to be Power hungry and Evil - ie, Potter's He who shal not be named . . .
    Posessed by an evil spirit or evil artifact and out to destroy
    Petty criminal who hits a jackpot of powerful artifact (by chance)
    Just Sick and demented who enjoys tomenting the hero
    Misguided - he/she as supreme ruler is just the best choice for all involved.
