Should politicians be paid?


 Poll Options:

    They should be paid a substantial salary, designed to attract high-calibre candidates.
    They should be paid enough to live comfortably and meet the costs involved with their jobs.
    Their pay should be performance-related (e.g. how much they participate in the work of the elected assembly).
    They should be paid a minimal salary.
    They should only be paid for 'expenses'.
    They should not be paid at all.
    They should have to pay the state a fee for the privilege of being an elected representative.
    Political parties should be compelled to pay the salaries of their elected representatives.
    They should have other jobs at the same time, and earn their money from those.
