Is it immoral for a mother not to love her son or daughter?
Some of the options I've given mention 'exceptional circumstances'. I leave it to your judgement to determine what those might be, and whether they'd make it not immoral for a mother not to love her son or daughter. However, to help explain the terms I've used, to me, 'exceptional circumstances regarding the mother' might include, for example, that her offspring was the result of a rape or that she suffered from severe mental illness. 'Exceptional circumstances regarding the son/daughter' might include, for example, that they committed serious crimes such as murder or child abuse - perhaps against a member of the family.
