Prologue: In the Beginning there was...Me.

Wow, time sure does go by fast when you’re lost. It seems like only yesterday when I moved to the gloomy city of Calamity. I was an awkward young man just coming into my own when I met Keith. This guy was way too charismatic for his own good; he stood about 5’10”, a solid 185 lbs., to me at the time he resembled a NFL line backer. Guy’s aspired to be like him, and girls adored his presence. Sadly for me, that was not the case.
I was blessed with the great honor of attending Field View High for my final year of school; how wonderful for me being seventeen and going to the top athletic school in the county and not participating in any for of sport what so ever. The school was split right down the middle, jocks and nots, and guess where I landed. It only could have been two or three hours into my first class on my first day mind you, that I just had to bring attention to myself.

"Hey, homeboy. What's your name?"

"Who me?" I asked respectfully.

"Yea, you. Do you see any owls out here?" The rather large guy spit out.

With as much confidence I could gather. "I'm...I'm Alex, Alex Morris from..."

"Alex, what kinda name is that for a brother?" He yelled out. " A yo, who knows anybody naming there kid Alex. So sad."

"I was named after my father." I quickly spit out. "It was his fathers name too."

"Father, what's up with that playa? Why do you speak so proper? I think, he thinks he's a wh..."

"That's enough. Leave the kid alone." A commanding voice demanded.

"tiss, come on Keith, this dude ain't nobody."

"Yea, well when I got here you all thought I was a nobody, but look at me now!" Keith said with a big grin on his face.

Then as quickly as he said that he turned towards me with a cold look on his face. He looked like he wanted to say something, but didn't now how to say it. Maybe he was trying to come up with the right words to use, or maybe he was just thinking of some smart remark.

"Hey, what you name?" Keith demanded out of me.

"I'm Alex!" I said more confidently.

"Well then Alex," Keith began to explain. "I'm Keith, and I run this school, and if you wanna make it here you gotta have a friend like me." With a saintly smile on his face. "From this day on, your name is A-Mor, real talk, with that name and me to back you up, we'll show him!!!

That's how it all started, funny isn't it. He said we'll show him. With all that behind us, and that said, it is up to us. Because in the beginning there was us, and at the end He will show us The Way.
