Before the darkness falls

And I am drenched in my torrent of emotions

Washed by my grief

My anger

Such overwhelming thoughts possess both waking and sleeping hours

As I try

Desperately

To sort through these hurtful events

And try

Painfully

To fill the empty hole that now resides where my heart should be found
