How Sweet the Hope

Oh, how sweet the hope of those who trust in God,
whose lives reflect His words in loving actions.
With patient toil, we wait with heavenly expectation,
to welcome Him, who gave His life for our redemption.

This earth, a rest along the unknown chartered path,
Is filled with pleasures to attract our evil carnal hearts.
But God in mercy, did vouchsafed and intervened to save,
He sacrificed Himself, charting the narrow way with grace.

Upon the cross he hung with arms outstretched,
uniting all mankind to Him from east to west
With His resurrection, all have the choice of being blessed
And live forever with Him, who abolished sin and stress.
