I write in abstract, haunting echoes and though all the writing is mine, of course, I am often channeled from spirit animals or people trying to get a message through - hence, this explains my often uncanny ability to be able to write on subject matters and emotions once totally foreign to me. So a myriad blend of realism and illusion are always a part of the idealistic mix. I also deal more with the power of metaphoric imagery than rhyme, meter or disciplined structure. I focus more intently on nostalgic, impactual context, setting a mood from the power of free flowing verse, interceded with stream-of-consciousness wordplay style, to further convey and/or enhance my directive of getting an emotion or feeling across. That is my Creative goal more so than making sure lines are of even length; whether or not they have the correct stanza beat; and oftentimes, lack of grammar and punctuation is intended. So, if you're looking for "cookie-cutter" Humpty Dumpty child-like nursery rhyme type poetry, you won't find that here ~ sorry. But YOU will walk away feeling
"something" that perhaps you yourself have denied for so long or never thought or felt possible. I guarantee you will take something back inside your Soul from the depths of mine:
the greatest gift a writer can offer.
I grew up Physically, Mentally and Verbally abused for the majority of my life but I see myself as a Survivor, not a Victim. I hope others that have been through similar, horrific experiences find healing within my humble, often truthful words. I hope I touch you in some way with my writings. If I do, if I manage that ~ ~ it is worth every reliving horror, every poetic effort.
