To the "idea" of love. Haven't we all, at some time or another, been in love with the notion of love, been in love with a dream of how it should have been, but it never played out that way and we ended up with disillusion.

To the fact that yes, it is better to have loved than not at all, to quote a cliché. That each was a lesson on this earthly plane, even if we don't know the answer in this lifetime.
