I began experimenting with poetry in the final days. I was inspired by poets like Billy Collins and John Updike. My focus on contemporary poetry was an attempt to bring me out of my complacency, unsatisfied with my goals as a writer. The prevailing conditions of my life, health and other circumstances have me contemplating the worth of continuing at this juncture.
