I love the challenge of writing a story based on a prompt, a quotation, a photograph, etc. Doing this helps me to develop my creativity and challenges me to attempt writing in genres, topics, or formats I might not have otherwise tried on my own. The stories in this file are stories I wrote for various contests. Some of them won prizes and others did not, but I found all of them to be fun and challenging. A special thanks to all of those contest sponsors who challenge me to do my best even in unfamiliar territory!
