This is the folder for stories that Grandma maybe wouldn't like. Anything 18+ or higher automatically goes in here.
"
Revenge Fantasy"

[
18+] is the very first item I put up on WDC. I worked in a supermarket, you see, and there was this dreadful supervisor -- so I put my alter ego to work. Since I'd never written a story before, I concentrated on getting the action out there, trying to make up some kind of understandable plot. Since then I've written a couple more Genna stories, where I give my real problems to this character who isn't that much like me, and so look at things from a different angle.
"
The Unmead of Unpoetry"

[
18+] is my first comedy story. It came about when I had this idea for a story while I was biking to work, that Pluto would get kicked out as ruler of Hades because Pluto is no longer a planet, and Dick Cheney would get nominated to take his place. I was rolling with this thing all the way to work, but by the time I got to work the idea sounded so stupid that I was laughing about THAT. So I wrote this silly thing about getting useless ideas. This is my only present tense story, but I have an excuse: I wanted it to have a guy-on-a-barstool feel to it.
"
The Rape of Winnymuir"

[
XGC] is a fantasy story. It's about a Viking raid among the Picts which gets foiled by magic. The story's pretty brutal, which is the reason for the rating. It's never been reviewed.
"
Family Values"

[
18+] was written for the Seven Deadly Sins contest. It's about a wholesome family of Satanists. Seven normal human emotions is what they are, unless the world around us tries to suppress them out of existence; that's when they fester into sins. In the unlikely event that I should ever be called upon to give a sermon, this would be it. This is such a bizarre premise for a story that I wrote it completely straight.
"
Message of the Runes"

[
18+] takes a story from the Elder Edda and fills it in. The original
Lay of Volund doesn't entirely make sense. I've added some detail to the action, a subplot about runes, and something about the characters' emotions to fill it out. I wonder if maybe the bards did the same thing when they sang those old stories, and it's only the bare bones they wrote down. It's pretty long.
"
The Fairy's Kiss"

[
18+] is a rewrite of one of my first stories. I was trying to think of the plot of Stravinsky's ballet of the same name and couldn't, so I put on the headphones and listened to it, and wrote down what came into my head. Reviewers found quite a bit wrong with the original, and my first revision only made things worse, so this is the third version. It's about a prehistoric kid learning the properties of plants the hard way.
"
...And I Feel Fine"

[
13+] and "
Dragon's Playroom"

[
13+] are dragon stories, both set in the same world. I'm working on a novella that incorporates both of them. The dragons are an ancient race, far more evolved than we are, and far more powerful. Both stories involve a child who accidentally comes into their domain.
"
Emoticons: Spawn of Satan"

[
13+] is a comic fantasy set in WDC.
"
The Recruit"

[
GC] is a fantasy story that dips into erotica. Which is about as close as I'm ever likely to get. It's an Amazon vs. Dragon kinky battle story.
Funny poem that rhymes:
"
If Shakespeare Had a Blackberry"

Poem that isn't funny (at least not intentionally) and doesn't rhyme:
"
Enmity"

On this one, I haven't figured out whether I'm joking or not. In any case, I'm not aging gracefully: "
Oldies"
"
Invalid Item"

is just a journal. Somehow it got filled.

1683846 It's been published, but I wasn't happy with the website at all. I'd like something better for this story, but I don't know what I'm supposed to do. This calls for research.
