These 9 poems were written between 1972 and 1981 (ages 16-25) just as I was to leave home to study music in Salzburg, Austria. I had also travelled to Mexico, Guatemala, and Italy during these years. When I met and married my husband, began teaching piano and gave birth to our son, I stopped writing poetry. I began to write again around 2003, after re-discovering an old friend from my Salzburg days.
