Oh, hello there, whoever you are. This is a folder where I placed several of my contests, viewable for easy access.
COMMUNICATION UNDERWAY -- UPDATES ARRIVING like snail mail, one forgot to send. Series writing is like that, never done in a blink of an eye.
There also sticks in my caw a few things related to writing well or better than average. Did you ever think Writing is competition?
RE: Popular (onsite) writing advice, how to and how not to
Nobody need ever agree with what actually passes as bogus advice for the craft. Nor, even worse adopt such trite whimperings, often cornering daily review techniques into harnessing a sameness for all writing.
Come on now? There should never be such things. If you see these extolling nuances explaining "what good writing is" --- often dubbed "helpful" --- best examine carefully. Nor is shorter better as in flash fiction. The latter are essays! Yes, not impossible to write but not traditional short stories by a long shot.
While, hosting contests, picking winners this year --- 2010 "Light Bulb Explosion" sidebars offer continuations to my non-fic --- WRITERS WAR, a collection of researched blogs, articles on the craft -- @c-rt @ 2003-10. The extras are a record which anyone might also explore via updates to further include points to ponder on a vast amount of info re: LIT & contempory authorship.
Topics vary from moi. Good golly, Mis Molly, not alone there by any means. How many sidelight premises shall surface before Oct 31, 2010, journalistically rendered or not yet completed as outlandishly as desired --- from this writer ... ???
Writing finished works all begin with ideas, and often include ideals. The 3-E's of writing are important. There no basis for a sneaky, dumbing down E fro Education in writing advice world.
When will I ever cross ref WRITES WAR? Yeah, dear readers and contestants, thass a good question. Topic by topic --- we shall see how many rants, thoughts on the craft, surface as available to all.
I promise you this --- these tidbits, aka author-to-atuhor hints (TEFF's articles, blogs) will eventually make it into WRITERS WAR. Which is about a war on writers. It is always Writer Beware!
Cordially, TEFF
PS: Contestants and all freelance writers --- Suggesting to serious authors and novice writers: print anthologies for what turns the wheels of fiction. Finding the best of the best in digital, I-net sources for short stories provides an entertaining afternoon at my house.
Free pep talks shortly for ficitionist to join into the foray via forum posts, also an option. Meanwhile, stay the course if entering a Mary Moffett Contest. Know this presently contemplating a tie to WEB Ring ... in contest venue.
--- HELL!!!! Why not let the games truly begin ???? !!!
