A folder containing poems translated from poems written originally in Hindi.

I write poems both in English and Hindi. My Hindi poems vary in language style from pure Hindi to those having a high proportion of Urdu words. This is possible because grammar in both Hindi and Urdu is basically similar and what mainly differs is the vocabulary, which is common to a large extent. The two languages have different scripts, but are capable of being written, without much loss of flow, in either script.

There are quite a few poems that I have written originally in Hindi but later translated into English. These are scattered at present in my portfolio. I intend to organize them as per the following scheme--

Bilingual poems in a folder [The present one].

Bilingual poems as entries in a book, "BILINGUAL POETRY BOOK

Links to bilingual poems existing elsewhere in my port, "LINKS TO MY BILINGUAL POEMS

NOTE-- Occasionally, I also translate, in rhyme and meter, others' well known poems / ghazals etc. that are often quite popular as film songs. Such translations have been also included here. The original is always given along with the translation.
