The varying shades of love find color within this folder, the sweet, and the not so sweet pains of tremendous love gone for its various reasons. Love poems are and will likely continue to be some of my favorite poetry, not only to write but also to read. I am a romantic with a soft heart, whether love or pain, experienced or watched up close and personal, love is love, pain is pain, and I write about both.
If you were in the theater on the release of “An Officer and a Gentleman” and heard a man crying at the ending, it was I and I offer an apology for disturbing your happy moment. Yes, I am he, the only person in the country that has seen Titanic but once. Watching love slip beneath the cold sea was painful enough once; besides, I look funny with red eyes.
