My first year of college, I took a creative writing class. In it we created several poems and short stories. Toward the end of the course, we were required to compile seven of these works into a Creative Writing Portfolio and unite them under a common theme. What I discovered as I reviewed everything I'd written, was that I had a developed a theme throughout the course, although I had been unaware of the fact as I wrote each piece.

All of these works have been posted on my WDC port for some time now, but this is how they were meant to be read, in order. The introduction I wrote at the time I submitted the porfolio to my instructor but, until now, have left it out of my online port. I hope it gives some insight into why I write.
