ON A JOURNEY

Some time ago, I began a journey in the port of poet Dan Sturn in his collection of poems "Bottle in the River." I began to write what Dan calls "responsive poetry" to each of his poems. His journey became mine.

This is a folder of my poems with links to Dan's. Dan's poems and perhaps mine as well should, for greatest effect, be read in order. It is helpful, in some cases, that you read Dan's original poem first before you read my response. For each poem I have posted, I have included the link to Dan's poem. However you choose to read them, I thank you. And I am sure Dan would thank you as well. I have his blessing in this project.

I have almost completed this journey through Dan's poem. There are only a few poems left to go. What then?

Bottle in the River
A book of Poems illustrating whatever you, the Reader, thinks.
by Dan Sturn

Here is Dan's introduction to his series of poems:

Bottle in the River

This collection of poems follows the journey of the Poet, who jumped into a river to retrieve a bottle tossed by the fingertips of "that I am." The book of poems illustrates concepts in Dan Sturn's "Multivalence.

The Poet keeps a journal of his journey, which has three parts:

"Finding the Flow"
"Stuck on the Bank"
"The End: We Sea"
