Throughout the history of the arts, men and women have been inspired by their own muses. The Muses of Greek mythology, poetry, and literature are the goddesses or spirits who inspire the creation of literature and the arts.

The muse is not always a human being. The term can also apply to anything an artist deems as motivation or inspiration to continue the pursuit of his or her dreams. That which gives the passion reason. Whether the muse is spiritual, natural, an idealogy, or a person of flesh and blood, it is true that the world of the arts is indebted to its muses. Without these inspirational mentors it can be said that a wealth of paintings and music would be missing from the world. Denying humanity the second common bond that has held and humbled mankind throughout the centuries.The first being the realization of our own mortality.
