Dear:

Gold rustling, stage robberies and an angry Sioux nation make Cavalry Lieutenant Eric Ryan's job difficult enough. Add saving a spoiled kidnapped debutante to the mix and it's nearly impossible.

This is the premise of my completed novel, A Soldier's Embrace, a 95,000 word historical romance which takes the reader from 1878 Wyoming Territory to the untamed streets of Denver Colorado.

Kidnapped from a stagecoach bound for Denver and nearly raped, debutante Elizabeth Davenport escapes her gold thirsty captors with her virtue intact, only to find her heart stolen by the dashing Cavalry officer who rescued her. Elizabeth is anxious to leave behind the dirty, dusty West, but not the committed bachelor, Lieutenant Eric Ryan. The last thing she wanted was to fall in love with a soldier. Though separated by class, her heart can't forget him, nor can her body. She is plagued as well by nightmares of the stage robber who bears a remarkable likeness to her studious fiancé. When her father receives a warning his bank and assay office is going to be robbed, he fears for his family's safety and requests the assistance of the young lieutenant who saved his daughter's life.

I am a published writer of short fiction, my stories appearing in Liquid Ohio as well as Oliver's, a children's e-zine. I worked as an associate editor for Laufer Publishing Company. I have done extensive research on life in Fort Laramie, as well as gold mining and assaying in Colorado. I will be pleased to send you a partial or completed manuscript upon request. I thank you for your time in considering my work.

For your convenience, I have enclosed a synopsis and the first three chapters for your review. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
