In 2006, our son was born in Guatemala to an amazing woman who made the decision to relinquish her rights and place her baby for adoption. Three weeks later, we saw his picture for the first time. He is now 2 1/2 and while I'm happilly married, I am basically a single mom. My husband is deployed and is an amazing father who would be involved in every moment of our little guys life if the choice were his. But, it isn't, so we do what we have to do. It's hard to be a mom and a wife to a soldier, but I try to do my best. Here I'll collect stories about our experiences together, good and bad, funny and sad. Hope you enjoy!
