This is where I keep those pieces I have written in response to another from one of the many talented writers here on w.d.c.

Sometimes I read a particular piece written by someone else and just feel as if it were written for or about me and my experiences. Other times, I just 'feel it', tuning in to the emotion the piece stirs within me, as I relate to the authors experience and expression.

No matter the reason, there are those times when the words and phrases penned by another, seem to consume me and thus, seemingly compel a response. Such are the items here.

Too, I know the words we write are highly personal and filled with the essence of the author. With this in mind, I sincerely hope my attempts at response don't detract from the inspiration of the original work or its author's intent. In fact, I would hope those authors are in some small way pleased by my efforts to imitate their style and meaning. May they take it as the compliment it was intended to be, is heartfelt my wish. After all, isn't it said that, 'imitation is the highest form of flattery?'

Lastly, I hope you, the reader, are as moved by their work as I was.
