I can only make assumptions here, but I am guessing that fiction probably makes up the vast majority of writing, particularly novels, most pople read. Personally, I don't read much fiction. In fact the last fiction book or story I read was most likely about six or seven years ago. So, when I not only found myself writing fictional short stories for some of the many contest here on wdc, but enjoying it immensely, well to say I was surprised would be a gross understatement.

Although, I haven't started reading fiction as of yet, I no longer avoid it intentionally like I used to. Also, I have learned more about the art of writng and writing well by writing fiction than anything I have worked on before.

This folder contains my early attempts. I hope to someday begin a new folder with some of my published 'fictional" pieces.
