B, the first female Lokoti Werewolf and Declan Sabre, the last European Werewolf; become grandparents. Their eldest daughter Lucia, mates with Zen Hua, an Asian Werewolf. Their second daughter Sophia, mates with the European Vampire Xenthe Creillaic and then their youngest daughter Susanna, mates with the Lokoti Werewolf Hugh Wisetail. The Sabre’s adopted daughter Mali becomes the mate of her childhood sweetheart Kevin, the older brother of Hugh.

Similar to what elderly human couples do when their grown children leave home; B and Declan go traveling. However the couple not only travel the world, but through time as B continues Declan’s training as a Circulator. During their travels, the duo meet other Circulators in different time periods, as well as supernatural figures in Earth’s past whilst they try not to leave a too big a dent in the timeline.
