Don't tell me that you'll always love me,

Just talk about today.

Don't tell me how we'll be together

Forever and ever more.

For what do you know of always?

How do you know what will come?

Where will be tomorrow?

What if it never arrives?

Don't let's talk of a future

That maybe we plan to have.

Tomorrow is so far away,

We must catch it as we can.

And if it runs on by,

And we're too busy to see,

Then at least we have today

For what more, can anyone ask?
