In order to better understand the campfire, here are descriptions of the regions in play.

To start, the "world" as the people know it is situated around an inland sea. The sea is known by several names, discussed under each country. To give you a better idea, think of the greeks and romans in the area surrounding the Medditerranean Sea. (check out http://plasma.nationalgeographic.com/mapmachine/plates.html?id=6002) I've noticed that this link doesn't take you exactly to the right place. Let it load, then go to the search, type: mediterranean sea, and wait for the link to appear on a separate screen. Click on it, then the main screen will change to the right picture. From there you can zoom in on any one particular area.

This is a picture of the world, but for a few minor changes: Italy has no boot. That area is all sea. And the land from Morroco to Egypt is all dense tropical rain forest. The deserts of the eastern region, Israel, Libya, etc along that penninsula, is desert. The roughly rectangular portion (between Istanbul, Yerevan, and Aleppo on the map, or, roughly, modern Turkey) is what is known as the Forbidden Zone. The northern portion surrounding the sea is much the same as we know it. Nix the politics, of course.

There are six major regions: Servai, Northern Servai, Lutchun, the Andraz Sea, the Territory of the Titans, and the Forbidden Zone.
