Senior year brought many things: my first year of adulthood, my first long term relationship, my first major debt and many other challenges that just about broke me. However, senior year brought me one thing for which I'm eternally grateful: independence from the hive mind. My sense of skepticism was born, and my opinions were revamped. This is when I first openly questioned ethics, challenged decisions and found what heals my soul. I may not be the most outgoing person and perhaps never will be, but senior year is when I became bolder. After the challenges I faced in that time, I have acquired a sense of fearlessness kept in check by pragmatism and skepticism. This fearlessness has since been a bit refined. Nonetheless, it has given me a greater deal of success than I could have ever imagined, as it has given me the courage to do things that few in my family have ever done.
