There was little I liked about high school: The homework, the teachers, the click's - it was a depressing place to be.

But the one redeeming quality were the intelligent and open minds I found in my English and Social Sciences department. These teachers, most of them young and eager to learn as well as teach, gave not just information out, but the world.

We discussed all sorts of things: abortion, religion in schools, capital punishment, gun control, anything that was in the papers and on people's minds. In my English classes, we used these topics to polish our writing skills while writing about something we all actually cared about, rather than the historical social realities of 'Of Mice and Men'. In my Social Issues classes, we debated endless hours over eachothers's opinions, rolling these new view points around in our heads.

I would like to share these moments of my life, and these opinions of my heart and mind with you now. I hope you enjoy your time in this folder and find it as informative as well as stimulating.

DISCLAIMER: please be aware, however, that you read these articles AYOR. I will gladly accept any and all feedback on any of the topics I post here, but hate mail will be reported.
