In my kitchen we have an old narrow cabinet with a dry sink on top. When my children were little, they didn't understand the pointof a 'dry sink'. So they called it 'the white thing' and the name stuck--doesn't matter that it is now green, it is still the white thing. It has become my version of a junque drawer, if I don't want it to get lost, it goes in/on the white thing.
