In Tulsa, Susan Michael led a Writer's Group. She began each session with a 20 minute exercise. We were given a line or two to meditate on. Some wrote poetry, some flash fiction, others a new chapter to their novel. Thus began my prose poems. They use poetic devices such as rhyme, rhythm and alliteration. They cover a range of themes.
