I go by the alias "Alan P. Growler" mainly being that I am a little more than 6 months out of treatment for pain killer addiction. I began reading a lot while in treatment which sparked the idea of a great way to relay to my family, friends, and other people struggling with substance abuse and depression my experiences and struggles that I have endured and will endure. As a child, around 6 or 7, is when I began to suffer from mild to clinical depression. All the years I have kept this everyday battle a secret because I was ashamed and embarrassed.
