Even as a small child, I always wanted to be a writer. Writers, I thought, would know all the words, their meanings and their usage. Now I realize that writers don't have all the answers and are often at a loss for just the right word. Looking back, I realize I have always been a writer. I didn't have to know all the words; I just had to know how to live them.
