My daughter was trapped in a gang. I couldn't believe she quit high school in her senior year. She pointed out I quit college. So I struck a bargain, I would go back if she would go back. Most surprising about my return to academia is that I discovered a love for poetry and short story writing. So after a 29-year-career in newspaper and feature writing at the state's largest newspaper, I'm trying to become a published free lance writer as well, and I'm having some success. Aurelio Sanchez
