         I'm Marie James. I've been writing since age five, soon after I learned to read. My first work was a one pager: "The Go-Cart Mice". Recently, I found that that had set the tone for most of my work since. Even now, animals dominate my stories. When I write, they seem to always be on my mind, like in my first two entries to Writing.com: "WhaleSong", the first in a series of tales about a young woman and an amazing dog; and "Booker's Miracle": a story of a little kitten in a big storm.
