I'm a better editor than writer. I'm trying to learn to let the writing process flow and make changes after a sustained period of putting the story down. I know that I can go back and change, correct, or even delete pages of text; my subconscious editor doesn't allow that. Ironically, I'm a bit of a slob and careless about details in the rest of my life. Only when I need NOT to be so picky do I work over every detail as soon as it hits the screen.
