I was born in the Cumberland Region of Appalachia, to hearty mountain folks who have been largely, isolated for the last two hundred years. As pioneers they came to this remote area when it was first opened to settlement, and offered no more than hard work, and a fair chance. These people love to tell or hear a good story and I learned to appreciate word use from my youth.
