My name is Cymbre Lauing, I'm 22 years old and originally from the Navajo reservation in northern Arizona. I'm currently working full-time in the medical records department of the local hospital, and I'm taking part-time classes at the local community college. I've been writing ever since I learned how as a toddler, but my serious writing didn't start until I was in my early teens. My English teacher in junior high first introduced me to poetry writing, and I was hooked. I have since participated in slams and competitions, and I'm always looking for new ideas and tips for my poetry, as well as short stories.

Days Slip Away  [E]   1.1 KB
I've sporadically worked on this poem for the past few years, a reflection on habits.

Redux  [E]   1.5 KB
Kind of an awkward love poem. I would appreciate any and all criticism on this please.

Nighttime Euphoria  [ASR]   0.9 KB
A jaded fantasy about insomnia. This was written a while back and has no actual rhythm.

How Do I?  [E]   1.1 KB
A poem in progress written for my late grandfather

This Heart  [E]   1.9 KB
An end-rhyme written for and about my dear late uncle and the Native American Church.

Insomnia  [E]   1.2 KB
This is a poem I wrote a long time ago, it's a twisted love letter of sorts.

I Am A Monster  [E]   1.1 KB
Self-pity in the form of an apology to a brother in need.

Copout  [ASR]   1.4 KB
A poem describing an emotional breakdown in the back of a police unit.

Veteran  [E]   1.4 KB
a poem comparing my childhood to that of a war survivor, not always a soldier.

Sensations  [E]   1.0 KB
This poem differs from my usual free-verse style, and I'm pleased with how it came out.
