I grew up in a small town in Western Colorado. The family life was bad and I was an introvert, so I read. I read anything that I could get my hands on that would hold my interest. I read to escape the mundane life I was living. In a book I could lose myself and become the character that traveled across galaxies or searched for lost treasure. In a book I could be smart and popular, or dark and mysterious, or whatever the character led me to be. Books, and the stories they told, were a major part of not only how I survived, but who I became. That's why I write. I strive to write a book that a reader can get lost in.
