To call myself a writer is to accept the burden of proof. Looking at all the unfinished, unpublished works I have collected, the burden grows heavier. So this November I am not a writer, and I am not a novelist. This November I will be writing, and I will be writing a novel. Not for the sake of calling myself a writer, or any fame and fortune that may come with it. This November I am writing only because I have a story to tell, and the written word will be my medium. When the final word is written and my story published, only then will I consider myself a writer.
