Fictional writing is an escape from the ordinary, a passageway to the extraordinary. It is born an imaginary world in a genus mind, then trapped in lifeless inked pages until the reader flips the first page and does not wish to escape. The reader gives substance to the fiction world and it becomes real for as long as the pages are turned. The characters features are visualized and become so, and the life that surrounds them is real life. The line between fiction and reality is blurred, the future of the characters is achingly important, and anxiously anticipated. The story's end is despised and then mourned.
