J Boone Dryden is a writer, editor, and educator in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He runs the Milwaukee Writers Workshop and WriteCamp -- the only free, ad-hoc writers conference. He writes a variety of short and long form fiction; focuses a great deal of his writing energy on speculative fiction and magic realism. His pieces can be found on EveryDayFiction and 365Tomorrows. He is avidly interested in aiding fledgling writers hone their craft, as his education background is in creative writing and education; he has a specific interest in the Steampunk sub-genre, its manifestations, and its trends and is currently writing essays on those topics.
