The pirate captain stands by the window, waiting patiently until his story resumes. The time travellers cluster around, arguing as to who gets point-of-view this time. Magic swirls through the air, and a world hovers in the aether, waiting to form. Stories, places, and characters surge and flow, and demand to exist... In my world, the difference between fantasy and sci-fi is the era it's set in, and if the only species is human, you must be lost.
