What do you say to someone who is not here? How do you say thank you to people that you can not contact personally?

I have spent many years being loved and guided by parents, relatives, friends, my wife, and my children. It feels right to try to pay them back somehow. It is also right to acknowledge that I am not unique and that my trials, tribulations, successes, and failures may be of service to others if I express them adequately and interestingly.

This is dedicated to all of the people who have loved, despised, soothed, attacked, helped, shunned, and otherwise affected me. You have all made me what I am today.
