Jo Nicel is a newly married writer who is working on her first novel, 'Red Ribbons and Machetes.' It is a family saga that portrays the conflicting lives of El Salvadorian families from the 1930s to the 1980s. Jo is studying for a MA in Creative Writng with Manchester Metropolitan University. She has travelled extensively throughout the world and is currently residing in Luanda, Angola with her husband Marek.
